Leland Enrollment Application Process
How Do I Apply to Leland Seminary or the Leland School of Ministry?
Go to Leland Seminary website: www.leland.edu
Click on the tab titled “Academics.”
Click on the program you wish to apply for:
“Master Programs”
OR
“Graduate Certificates”
OR
“School of Ministry”
On the program page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Apply Now” button.
Review the “Application Process” page that highlights the required documents/information and/or application fees.
Click the “Apply Now” button at the bottom of the “Application Process” page.
Complete and submit application, application fees and all required documents/information.
What Happens After I Submit the Leland Application?
Master, Graduate Certificate, and School of Ministry (Diploma in Theology)
Applicant receives email from Leland confirming receipt of his/her application.
Master and Graduate Certificate Applicants
Director of Admissions connects applicant with Dean of Academics.
Dean of Academics schedules a virtual interview with applicant.
Dean of Academics conducts virtual interview with applicant.
Master, Graduate Certificate and School of Ministry Applicants
Leland Admissions Committee considers all information provided by applicant and reaches a decision of acceptance/non-acceptance.
Master and Graduate Certificate Applicants
Director of Admissions sends email and letter advising applicant of the Admissions Committee’s decision.
The letter advising of acceptance will include an “Acceptance of Admission” form.
The applicant must complete/sign and return the “Acceptance of Admission” form to confirm his/her desire to enroll.
Director of Admissions receives the completed/signed “Acceptance of Admission” form from new Master or Graduate Certificate student.
School of Ministry Applicants
Director of School of Ministry sends letter advising applicant of Admissions Committee’s Decision.
Letter of acceptance is a welcome letter.
Master, Graduate Certificate and School of Ministry New Students
Registrar sends new student an email with instructions for setting up his/her personal Leland email account.
New student sets up his/her personal Leland email account.
New student sends test email from his/her Leland email account to the Registrar.
Registrar connects new student to Leland’s learning management system (MyCampus) using student’s Leland email address.
New student registers for classes via his/her MyCampus account.
New student pays tuition fees online for registered classes (less any scholarship monies awarded and/or Early Bird Discount).
What Should I Know About Scholarships?
Master, Graduate Certificate and School of Ministry Applicants
Applicant completes and submits scholarship application(s) while applying or immediately following submission of the Leland application to help facilitate receipt of scholarship applications by the designated due date(s).
The Leland Scholarship form will appear in the application portal as a pale-yellow banner located underneath the toolbar that reads “You have 1 form to review”. Applicant clicks the hyperlinked “You have 1 form to review” banner to access the scholarship application.
Applicant reviews “External Scholarships” listed on the Leland website: https://www.leland.edu/scholarship-services
Applicant determines the external scholarship(s)” for which he/she is eligible to apply, according to designated scholarship eligibility criteria.
Applicant completes and submits online external scholarship application(s) in accordance with designated due date(s).
