About:

Alberta L. Barrett is a retired public school teacher and serves as the Director of a nonprofit faith-based ministry in Belton, TX. Her work focuses on shining God's light on the dark and often unseen issue of exploitation. Alberta is married to her supportive husband, Dwight, and together, they have three adult daughters, two sons-in-law, and two beloved dogs. Born and raised in Texas, Alberta has dedicated much of her life to ministry, answering God's call to full-time service about a decade after hearing His voice. In her church, she ministers to both women and youth, bringing her passion and faith to every aspect of her work. Alberta has also served as a Pastoral Assistant, Assistant Director of Christian Women Job Corps Bell County, and Acteens Director for Bell Baptist, further extending her impact within the community. She came to work at Leland because her sister Abbie Tolbert works here and she has told her so many great things about Leland that she wanted to be a part of what God is doing here.
