About:

I was born and raised in Massachusetts and the surrounding suburbs of Boston. After graduating college, I got married and lived for five years in Charlotte, NC. We settled in the DMV 25 years ago when I took a position with a company located in Bethesda. Before my calling into ministry I worked in various information technology companies that integrated financial information with decision support software and business automation. God surprised me with a call that came soon after a life changing mission trip to West Africa. Not long after that I literally walked away from my career in a local software company and began a process of discerning where God was leading me and my family next. Sometime later I was asked to become an unpaid interim pastor of a small church, learned about Leland's MDiv program for working pastors and began my journey in theological studies. This journey has not ended. Today I'm enrolled in a Doctor of Ministry program to study contextual theology while I pastor a different small church in Washington, D.C. and teach at Leland. I've also had the privilege to serve in various volunteer capacities with the D.C. Baptist Convention.
