About:
Robert Cochran was born in Baytown, TX (Houston area). He grew up in Texas, graduating from high school in Mt. Pleasant. Robert was called into the ministry before he went to college. He served as: a Youth Minister in Seagraves, TX and later in Shelbyville, IN; as a pastor in Brown County, IN; and in missionary service in Indianapolis, IN, among the Flemings in Belgium; in Theological Education in Eastern Europe, in W. Palm Beach, FL, and in Washington, D.C. Robert retired after serving D.C. Baptists for 25 years in a variety of ministry roles, including that of Executive Director/Minister. In retirement Robert gives his time to teach, to strengthen Baptist institutions with financial resources, and to serve his local church. He is married to Rev. Deborah Cochran who is a specialist in Discipleship, especially among children and youth. They enjoy and love their two children, Natalie and Kenneth, along with their respective spouses Craig and Julianne, and their three grandchildren, Annelise, Riley, and Jasper.
